I gladly give Steve Johnson Automotive a five star review. We were faced with a very challenging situation and they really came through for us. Let me explain. We live in Georgia, about 260 miles away, and own a Townhouse on Amelia Island that is on the rental market. Saturday, the day after Helene passed through, we came down to clean and make some repairs. Soon after arriving we discovered a serious oil leak. Time was short as we had guests arriving the following Friday. A local neighbor recommended Steve Johnson, who I called Monday morning. I spoke with Scott, who was very professional and helpful, He gave me the name of a tow service and asked me to have our vehicle brought in. An hour later it was at his shop and repaired by 2:00 that afternoon. When I arrived, Scott had the original oil filter on hand to show me how it had been damaged by a resent oil change. He also had a detailed write up concerning the repair and even took a video of the oil filter leaking while on the lift. This was truly service going the extra mile. Thank you Scott, and your excellent team, for helping to make our trip a success and getting us safely back home.

We're from Pennsylvania, and are lucky enough to visit Amelia Island three times a year. And unlucky enough to need tire service three times in the last two years. Two punctures (the last today, 7/30/24), and just low air pressure. Kylie at the service desk was great! Pleasant, professional and got me right in. I saw a different technician each time, and each was amazing. Polite, professional, personable, and quick. Can't say enough good things about everybody and the service. But, I hope I don't have to stop in for a long time.

I give a five-star rating to Steve Johnson Automotive is an independent, family-owned business serving Fernandina Beach since 1976. Manager Thad Johnson heads a dedicated, knowledgeable team of mechanics who are ASE-Certified technicians. For the five years I have lived in Fernandina Beach, I have relied on them for oil and filter changes, brake inspection and work, wheel alignment, and electric system checks. I also bought my tires here where they sell all major tire brands. Intake manager Scott has always done an excellent job in diagnosing my vehicle’s problems and working with the technicians to determine what repairs need to be made. I feel confident the Steve Johnson team is dedicated to ensuring my vehicle’s driving safety. It’s also convenient for me to take my car to this shop located at 1505 14th Street between T.J. Courson and Nectarine Streets. As with any good and reasonably-priced business, they are busy, and you may need to call to make an appointment. I have been a customer for 20 years for both tires, maintenance and mechanical repairs. I have recommended them to a number of people and will continue to do so.

Friendly, helpful team and outstanding service. 20yr old Jeep with electrical and fuel pump problems. They tracked down the tricky electrical problem and fixed the fuel pump (twice). Great work! Will continue to use them in the future and would highly recommend them.
